E-DATA Launches Open Call for Digital Mentors to Support SME Transformation

The E-DATA Programme has launched an open call for experienced mentors to support SMEs across Northern Ireland and the border counties of Ireland in advancing their digital capabilities. 

The Enterprise Digitalisation and Transformation Alliance (E-DATA) is an SEUPB funded programme that supports companies use digital tools to improve their businesses.  

As one of the key delivery strands of the E-DATA Programme, Innovate-NI is establishing a pool of specialist digital mentors to deliver targeted support to participating SMEs, and are now opening a call to assemble that panel. 

Mentors will work directly with businesses on a one-to-one basis, helping to identify opportunities for improvement and supporting the implementation of digital solutions across areas as wide as marketing, to digital automation and finance options- all aimed at improving companies across multiple sectors across Northern Ireland and the border counties of Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Louth, Monaghan and Sligo. 

Assignments will be delivered on a call-off basis, aligned to business need, with each engagement focused on delivering measurable outcomes for the SME. Each company will receive 14 hours of mentoring per assignment. 

This is an opportunity for experienced professionals to apply their expertise in a practical setting, supporting businesses to navigate digital transformation challenges and implement real change. 

Mentors will be engaged as independent contractors, with a fixed rate of €72 per hour and assignments valued at €1,008, to be paid in its Sterling equivalent. 

The programme is seeking individuals with strong technical and/or strategic experience, alongside a track record of delivering advisory or mentoring support to businesses. 

This is an open call, and all applications received before the closing date will be assessed against published criteria.

  • Delivery: Primarily remote, with some in-person support where required  
  • Expenses: No travel or subsistence costs covered
